Start Again
After the demise of Google+, I got pretty discouraged about keeping and maintaining a web presence about my diecast collector hobby. I had been writing about the hobby for over 8 years in G+ and felt it was a good depository for my musings about new castings and the hobby in general.
All those posts and images were transferred to a new file format that I have not been able to open with any software in my computer. I have not really paid much attention to it, and I guess eventually I will find a way to bring all those precious writings into a simple, free blog such as this one.
I still have the extensive photo Albums in Picasa and Google Photos. Bringing these to the new Blog seems seamless, as it is all Google. But building a coherent BlogSpot that fellow collectors can visit, enjoy and contribute will be a challenge. Not technically, but time-wise. I am still wondering if it will be worth it or if in a few years from now Google will decide to shut down Blogger. We'll see.
